Tim Davies

CEO & Founder

Tim provides strategy, guidance and support for our team of 50+ spanning 3 countries. He drives our plain English approach to the sometimes complex challenges of ecommerce, multichannel and cross-border retail.

Following successful careers in stonemasonry, wellness, accounting and governance, Tim’s online journey commenced in 2006 when he founded a photography studio equipment retail business selling through eBay and his own website.

2010 - Tim was appointed Business Development Manager at eBay Australia & New Zealand

Delivered 3 consecutive years of sustained 40% YoY growth for a $100m portfolio in Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan
Consulted internally across the eBay business team on best practices, trust and legal issues impacting eBay sellers
Represented eBay to the Australian Federal Government at Parliament House in Canberra as part of a business delegation and presented the opening remarks at Labor’s first Digital Economy Group session
Launched eBay Seller Academy in Australia, run in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with a total of 200 graduates

2015 - Upon leaving eBay, Tim founded ZELLIS to help retailers, wholesalers and marketplace sellers leverage mainstream ecommerce through unified commerce solutions and related services.

2016 - Tim was appointed as President of the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance (PeSA)

2017 - Tim was awarded an eCommerce Industry Recognition Award

2019 - Tim was appointed Chair of the Marketplaces Council at Retail Global and achieved a world first by convening representatives from marketplaces eBay, Amazon, Catch, Kogan and TheMarket in a single cooperative

2021 - Tim was a Finalist for eCommerce Industry Person of the Year

2022 - Tim coordinated a formal submission from the Marketplaces Council to the ACCC Digital Platform Services Inquiry about marketplaces

2023 - Collaborated with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise for a series of webinars on marketplace opportunities for retailers

Tim presents regularly at ecommerce events and conferences around the world and is in demand for his plain English approach and breadth of knowledge in the ecommerce space.

Aside from ZELLIS, Tim also runs Australian Cocoa & Chocolate Purveyors, a chocolate company, supporting foodservice, hospitality, trade and retail across Australia.

In his spare time, you'll find Tim either in his music studio, building a retaining wall in his back yard, out driving somewhere in the Dandenong Ranges, skiing down the slopes, or relishing a whisky with some quality dark chocolate.

Co-Founder & Strategic Advisor

After serving in the Royal Australian Navy, Iain joined the automotive industry in parts & accessories within the Toyota Dealer network and quickly forged a path into more senior roles leading to management. In 1995 along with two partners entered his first business in the Nursery and Hardware industry.

Iain commenced his ecommerce journey in 1997 selling goods on the Fairfax group's sold.com.au marketplace and subsequently on eBay when it launched in Australia in 1999. He opened eBay's first online store. Iain has in different businesses sold continuously on eBay since then. After the sale of the business in 2000, Iain returned to management within the Toyota Dealer network and launched the very first accessories and merchandise store on a Yahoo shop platform. He launched his own auto parts & accessories business specialising in Japanese 4x4 vehicles in 2002 and quickly grew the online presence on eBay and later his own website. In 2007 he acquired an additional business specialising in British vehicles and in 2013 a specialist brakes online pureplay. In 2015 after the sale of the other businesses he launched Auto Commerce Australia as a consulting and project management business specialising in auto parts and accessories and also operated a multichannel online department store.

In 2019 Iain joined the ZELLIS team and soon after co-founded ZELLIS Connect (a unified commerce platform for retailers) and ZELLIS Auto (a specialised automotive fitment solution for auto parts & accessories retailers and dealerships). Iain also operates a successful ecommerce business simplyforme.com.au which sells beauty, haircare, healthcare and giftware products across all major Australian marketplaces as well as their own website. In his spare time Iain loves to spend time with his family and has a passion for BBQ and exploring the great outdoors.

Julia is the founder of Tweed Real Food, a 7-figure ecommerce brand built from her fifth-generation family farm. Every seasoning and balsamic vinegar gets handcrafted in her manufacturing facility and dispatched in-house. She scaled it from a local startup to an award-winning national business, winning over 20 Fine Food Awards and multiple business accolades along the way. She’s also a share-owner in an 8-figure agri-business and has navigated the pressures of growth, logistics, and market shifts firsthand.

Before launching her own ventures, Julia earned Master’s degrees in International Business Management and Marketing Communications, and worked for multiple agencies, including global agency TBWA, looking after world-class brands including Apple, Schwarzkopf and Nivea. This gives her a rare ability to connect high-level brand strategy with ground-level commercial execution.

Julia is known for her humour and no-fluff approach, her ability to see what others miss.

Multichannel Solutions Strategist

Sam is our eCommerce Solutions Strategist with a focus on multichannel retail and wholesale, website design, marketplaces, data structuring and optimisation, platform support and training. He works with a wide range of online businesses, taking a practical and hands-on approach, preaching the importance of process improvement and recalibration for long-term growth.

After a decade of working with in-house eCommerce management and driving strong growth, Sam now supports ZELLIS multichannel clients providing insights, guidance and practical solutions to help them unlock their full potential in ecommerce. Sam's deep hands-on experience working on the retailer side means he brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and perspective to his clients to support their growth.

Operations Manager

Jillian mentors and guides the leadership team in our Philippines office and coordinates our Flex team. She maintains a positive and collaborative work environment where everyone's ideas are valued and respected, ensuring a client-centric and goal-oriented mindset among all team members.

When she's not busy working, you'll find her soaking up the sun at nearby beaches with her kids. Building sandcastles, chasing waves, and creating unforgettable memories with her little ones are the perfect way for Jillian to recharge and enjoy quality time outside the office.

Developer Team Lead

Overseeing everything from custom webstores and eBay designs through to complex ecommerce and automotive solutions, Helvin has built the ZELLIS developer team from the ground up. Under his guidance, our developers continue to expand the possibilities of our clients' businesses through integrations, data automation, webstore functionality, front-end design and custom applications.

Outside work Helvin loves spending time with his family, and especially his son. He enjoys driving and often plans family trips to different places, and he also enjoys different types of food.

Head of Admin & Facilities

Mannix was employee #1 at ZELLIS. As Head of Admin & Facilities, he keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Mannix is the ’glue’ that holds it all together when we’re under pressure.

Once the workday is over, Mannix puts on his chef's hat and transforms into a culinary wizard in the kitchen for his family. When he's not impressing with his culinary skills, Mannix enjoys quality time with his kids and furry friends, playing and bonding with them in joyful moments.

Client Support Lead

Rowena is likely the first person you'll interact with at ZELLIS. She has almost 3 decades of valuable customer support experience. Her wealth of knowledge and unwavering commitment to excellence have raised the bar for our customer experience. Rowena's ability to handle complex challenges with grace and professionalism makes her a true asset to our team.

Outside of work, Rowena shines just as brightly as a devoted, hands-on mom to her daughter. She finds joy in spending quality time with her, nurturing their bond through shared activities and creating lasting memories. When she's not busy being a supermom or excelling in her role at work, she enjoys pursuing personal interests that recharge her and keep her balanced.

Triage Lead at ZELLIS

Meet Jenefer, the amazing Triage Lead at ZELLIS who's always ready to help customers tackle their website and platform issues. He's a tech enthusiast who finds pure joy in being a part of the exciting advancements happening at ZELLIS every day.

When Jenefer wants to unwind and connect with people from different walks of life, he turns to online chess games. It's not just about the strategic challenges that captivate him, but also the chance to engage with players of diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

Full-Stack Developer

Hemang plays a key role in aligning product requirements with technology across ZELLIS software solutions. He works closely on platforms such as ZellisAuto, Multisync, and multiple ERP system integrations, ensuring that business objectives are translated into reliable, scalable, and well-architected technical solutions. With a strong background in full-stack development, he brings both technical expertise and a deep understanding of complex business workflows to every initiative.

He began his career in web and backend development and has grown into a versatile full-stack developer with hands-on expertise in PHP, Laravel, NestJS, and Next.js. Hemang actively contributes to the design and development of scalable applications, builds secure and high-performance APIs, and enables seamless data synchronization between ZELLIS platforms and external ERP systems.

Beyond application development, Hemang manages server infrastructure and deployment pipelines across AWS, Vultr, and Linode. His responsibilities include environment configuration, deployment automation, performance tuning, monitoring, and ensuring high system availability. He is dedicated to maintaining secure, stable, and scalable systems that support the long-term reliability and growth of ZELLIS products.

Outside of work, Hemang enjoys traveling to new destinations, exploring diverse cultures, and experiencing new cuisines. He has a natural curiosity for discovering new things—whether it’s a place, a dish, or an emerging technology.

Web Traffic & Conversion Mechanic

Khyati is our SEO wizard who knows how to turn complex algorithms into real opportunities. Nothing escapes her sharp eyes, whether it’s setting up Google Analytics tracking to uncover insights, running Google Ads campaigns that drive results, or diving deep into site audits and Search Console to keep websites performing at their best. For our clients, this means strategies that don’t just bring traffic, but translate into revenue wins.

Outside the digital world, Khyati finds balance with a paintbrush in hand, the calm of nature around her, and soulful music playing in the background, her own perfect formula for peace.

Client Success Manager

Natasha is our Client Success Manager who coaches and supports agents to crush their metrics. She's the main point of contact for our Flex clients, helping to streamline processes and set task priorities in line with the client's needs, and helping the team shine by boosting skills, tackling obstacles, and delivering killer results.

When she's off work, you'll find her at the gym, pumping iron to stay balanced and bring her A-game. Constant growth is her thing, always seeking new opportunities to make a positive impact.

Quality Improvement Lead

Elisha is our Quality Improvement Lead and also one of our Flex specialists. She has loads of hands-on experience with data work and supports our Flex team to maintain high standards of accuracy.

In her leisure time, watching movies and listening to podcasts are her go-to activities as these offer unique perspectives that contribute to her growth both professionally and personally.

Social Media Curator

KJ is the creative brain behind ZELLIS’ social media presence. She handles everything from content planning and daily posting to designing visuals and producing engaging reels that reflect the heart of the brand. Her work makes sure ZELLIS shows up online as authentic, relatable, and always on point.

When she's not creating content, KJ’s most likely exploring somewhere green. She may be traveling, camping, or just slowing down outdoors. That's what fuels her creativity, both on the feed and off it.

Technical Business Analyst

Pranav bridges the gap between business requirements and technology for ZELLIS software solutions and custom software projects. With a strong foundation in software development, Pranav brings both technical depth and business requirement understanding to the table.

After starting out freelancing for frontend web development, Pranav moved into a full-time CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) developer role, working on firmware development. This laid the foundation for his proficiency with Ubuntu, command-line tooling, and system-level operations — skills that now enable him to confidently manage virtual servers and DevOps at ZELLIS.

Alongside his core role as a Technical Business Analyst, Pranav also leads the company’s DevOps efforts. He is responsible for setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in addition to building ZELLIS Multisync's AWS Architecture. He focusses on deployments, scalable infrastructure, and a modern development workflow.

Outside of work, Pranav is an avid traveller with a love for road trips on his motorcycle. He dreams of riding to Ladakh — a high-altitude desert in northern India known for its snow capped mountain landscapes and remote Himalayan roads — and completing a full loop along the coastal lines of Southern India.

Recruitment & Workforce Management Officer

Josh has an eye for talent and takes the lead on our recruitment and workforce initiatives to ensure our team are happy, focussed and performing well. He is always looking for ways to optimize team productivity and provide exceptional support to all colleagues.

Outside of the office, Josh immerses himself in thrilling gaming adventures, fully embracing his passion for gaming. Whether it's diving into immersive virtual worlds or engaging with fellow gamers, he finds happiness in connecting with others who share his enthusiasm.

Human Resources Officer

April plays a crucial role as a Human Resources professional, responsible for addressing and resolving any people-related complaints and needs that arise within the organization. With her empathetic and approachable nature, she ensures that all employees feel supported and valued, fostering a positive work environment.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, April finds immense joy in spending quality time with her children. She believes in creating cherished memories and imparting valuable life lessons.

Automotive Parts Interpreter

Clarence is our resident automotive fitment expert, making sure every part lines up perfectly with the right vehicle or motorcycle. He digs into supplier catalogs, databases, and other resources with a sharp eye for detail to get things just right.

When he’s off the clock, Clarence enjoys alone time in his garage, tinkering with motorcycles and watching videos of custom classic bikes, wiring, and repair troubleshooting. His curiosity and hands-on mindset keep him learning and experimenting, both on and off the job.
